Healthy living has a number of aspects to it. In English when we use the word aspects we mean there is a number of different perks to healthy living. Here we are going to discuss different levels of healthy living. Part of healthy living is eating healthy food.

How Can You Take Care Of Yourself?

If you have children you take care of your children, if you have a pet you take care of the pet. When we talk about healthy living we often use the phrase take care of yourself. You can only take care of other people or the people who you love dearly if you take care of yourself.

Work-life or Balance

People who are looking for work are people who want to get some money, so they can keep their life balanced. Blanche is when two things are equal in your life and sometimes people work too much, and they don’t have a good work-life balance. We also sometimes say school life balance but generally, the phrase we use is work-life balance. What we mean by that is you want to work you want to have a job, but you don’t want to work so much that you forget to take care of yourself or spend time with your friends or family. If you work from sunrise to sundown so from the moment the sun rises until it goes down that probably is not healthy for many people. For example, if Adam works a lot he doesn’t have time to meet his friends or family members, so it’s good to keep a good work-life balance.

Sedentary Lifestyle

It’s not very common in other parts of the world, but we have what we call a sedentary lifestyle. Some people live a sedentary lifestyle that means you sit a lot. In some parts of the world, you do a job where you have to sit on a computer, and so they sit all day at work and when they come home, and they sit on the couch and watch television. We call it a sedentary lifestyle, so a sedentary lifestyle is where you are living, and you don’t go out for a walk or exercise you just sit around all the time. Now, this is not healthy living.

Mind and Body

When we talk about healthy living we talk about taking care of your mind as well as your body, and sometimes we even say taking care of your spirit. That means your spirit is you are being what makes you who you are, and it’s important to take care of all of those. Sometimes we say to people take care of themselves or take care of their mind and body.

  • MeditationOne way of taking care of your mind is through meditation. I meditate a little when I go for a walk basically when you meditate you clear your mind, and you try to not think about work. You try to think about pleasant things or appreciate the surrounding nature, so meditation is only one example to take care of your mind and to take care of your spirit.


    When you take care of yourself one thing you should be doing is take care of your body. If you are going for a walk three or four days a week that means the walk is your exercise. If you lift the weight a little you take care of your muscles that are a part of your body and healthy muscles are very important for good health. Exercise is one of many methods through which you can live a healthy life.

    To be in good shape or to be fit

    When we talk about the body we often say you need to exercise so that you can be in good shape. If someone has muscles or if you can see that they are slim, they are not overweight you can say that they are in good shape. It is somewhat of a compliment. For example, my cousin Mat is in wonderful shape, so I used great instead of good.

    To be fit is another phrase that is very similar. It’s nice in life to be fit, so you can do things that are fun, and you are not out of breath.

    Get Enough Sleep

    It’s basically a phrase that we use for sleep. For example, if you are asking someone did you get enough sleep last night? Sleep is important when you try to be healthy. If you are busy you can forget that sleep is really helpful for both mind and body. The body can repair itself during sleep. If you exercise all day you can sleep, so your body can repair itself. It’s also good for the mind to infect it is one of the most important things for learning.


    Drink Enough Water

    People tend to not drink enough water especially those who live in cold areas around the world. When you drink enough water your body stays hydrated because you don’t want to get dehydrated, so it’s important to drink enough water.

    Regular checkup

    If you want to stay healthy you might go for a regular checkup every month. You might probably go for a checkup every month or every year it depends on person to person. Even if you are not sick you should go to see a doctor. People also go to

    the dentist for regular teeth checkups or regular dental checkups. They might go to their eye doctor for a regular checkup, but it’s important especially for elderly people. Sometimes that doctor would do what called a physical. In regular checkups, they check every part of your body and take blood samples.

    Healthy Food

    This is different around the world, but the general theme is that we need to eat a certain amount of fruits and vegetables every day, and you are often recommended to eat more vegetables than fruits. Fruits can have a lot of sugar in them. That means if you are eating ten things in a day you will eat seven vegetables and three fruits because fruits have a lot of sugar which can be bad for your health.
